The Captain French is only steps from the Salty Tongue for coffee in the morning, the Irish Heather for pints after work, and Boneta/L'Abattoir for an amazing dinner. Walk to  London Drugs and a lot private pharmacy stores, Waves Coffee House, Carnegie Centre, China Town, Downtown Vancover, Stadium, Waterfront, Pigeon Park, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Film School, Rickshaw Theatre, Vancouver Police Museum and a lot of supermarkets for your grocery shopping. The restaurants in the neighbourhood are Sea Monster Sushi, Creative Bistro, Nicli Antica Pizzeria, Subway, Wild Rice and much more. The Captain French is named after the first owner of the building. Brick and timber Heritage conversion in Gastown, originally constructed in 1910. In the early 90's the lofts were sold completely bare leaving the design up to the creativity of the individual owner. This building was reconstructed in 1991. This is a seven-leven building with brick construction and brick exterior finishing. There are 20 units in development and in strata.
